EXO Chips are a rare resource in Astroneer. They resemble bundles of computer chips.

EXO Chips are found inside of EXO Caches and the Vehicle Data Recorder, which requires Dynamite or another form of an explosion to be opened (such as those from Volatile Cataplants on Glacio, or Volatile Attacti on Atrox).

Three Astronium may be exchanged for one EXO Chip from the Trade Platform.

They can also be found rarely in select Wrecks.

EXO Chips are required in multiple missions to unlock the VTOL and Hoverboard.

EXO Chips can be shredded for 3 Scrap, being the only resource that is currently capable of being directly scrapped.

• EXO Chips cannot be stored in resource canisters.
