Shards are a mission item in Astroneer, used in missions added in the Rails Update.

Shards are obtained by destroying Obelisks with Dynamite, found in the mantle layer of Calidor.
Uses
- The player will need to transport 10 Shards for the They Belong In a Museum mission.
- Shards may be researched in a Research Chamber for 960 Bytes.
