Only in Canada and the USA.
Charles Martin Hall's (of Ohio in the U.S.) role in the production of Aluminium using his Hall-Héroult electrolytic process was responsible for the change in spelling in North America. He used the -um spelling, despite his constant use of the -ium spelling in all the patents[76] he filed between 1886 and 1903. Hall's domination of production of the metal ensured that aluminum became the standard English spelling in North America.
The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) adopted aluminium as the standard international name for the element in 1990 but, three years later, recognized aluminum as an acceptable variant. The IUPAC periodic table uses the aluminium spelling only.

Both spellings ARE equally correct, even if the former is only used in North America.

It is spelled Aluminum in the game, which is made mostly by US devs. If the point of the talk page is to suggest to switch wherever possible to the Aluminium spelling, I am against it. When you don't know it, it is "odd" to see the word aluminum, but that not worth changing it everywhere, in my opinion.

Spelling

- I googled it and found both "aluminum" and "aluminium" are acceptable, while "aluminum" is more common in North America nowadays. Since the in-game spelling is "aluminum", I suppose it's better to keep everything consistent. You could check Wikipedia:Aluminium#Spelling, which discusses their etymology a little. 1479hh (talk) 17:12, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

- Spelling should be consistent with how it is spelled in-game, which is Aluminum, as it is a US based-game. Sdkphoenix (talk) 21:48, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
