Gateway Shards are items in Astroneer: Glitchwalkers. They are used to complete puzzles at Gateway Terminals to restore the gateway.

Gateway Shards are obtained by placing a Counterhack Key in the Gateway Terminal, which spawns the Shards around the terminal.

Uses

Gateway Shards are used to complete the puzzle to restore the Gateway Terminal. Rotating and setting the Gateway Shard in the correct slot will light it up and make a sound to let the player know it is correct. Once the puzzle is complete, the Gateway Shards are locked in to the Gateway and the Gateway will be able to be powered like normal.
