The EXO Automated Mass Production Protocol is a Limited Time Event in Astroneer. It was first added with the Automation Update, and is accessible through the 
EXO Request Platform.
The main objective of the event is to have players utilize the Automation items to obtain resources instead of using items for points. Players are required to provide specific amounts of a resource, with four different resources required.
The EXO Automated Mass Production Protocol event first occured in 2020. It utilized the new Automation items that were added in the Automation Update. Gathering certain amounts of Compound, Aluminum, Aluminum Alloy, and Astronium granted players with cosmetics and different care packages. The AMPP 2020 ran from June 24, 2020 to August 4, 2020.
The EXO Automated Mass Production Protocol was repeated in 2021, running from June 22, 2021, to September 12, 2021. The AMPP was updated to require an increased amounts of resources required to obtain cosmetic rewards. The previous year's items were bundled and were given for completing the first milestone, with a new palette and Mask rewarded for the Aluminum and Aluminum Alloy tiers. Care packages were also updated to include QT-RTGs and EXO Chips.

As with the 2021 AMPP, the first reward is a bundle containing the previous year's rewards. Although previous AMPP event tiers required specific resources to complete each tier, the 2022 AMPP accepts a range of resources, with different point rewards given for each resource depending on its complexity.

Notes
- Players are required to send the resources through the EXO Request Platform with the
Medium Resource Canister, which can hold 32 items of one resource at a time. Players can also send 8 individual resources on the side of the EXO Request Platform, resulting in a maximum capacity of 40 items per launch. Each launch of the rocket costs 500 Bytes, no matter if the rocket has a full load or not.
- Players may only send the currently requested resource in the rocket, and will be unable to send any other resources of other tiers of the event. For example, when Aluminum is requested, Compound or Aluminum Alloy cannot be sent up.
