Counterhack Keys are gateway terminal access keys in Astroneer: Glitchwalkers. They are used to gain access to Shards.

Counterhack Keys are obtained from the D-Cipher after unlocking storm protection level 2. If a Counterhack Key is lost, it may be reobtained from the D-Cipher at any time.

Coutnerhack Keys also are provided for the final encounter with Bl!tz.

Uses

Counterhack Keys are used in Gateway Terminals to generate the Shards needed for each respective gateway. Completing the puzzle to align each shard in the correct slot will unhack the gateway, allowing the player to power it.
